My pixel 8 pro has been working fine with usb-c headphones getting regular use. I usually leave them plugged into the phone throughout the day and then charge at night. Phone’s maybe 8 months old now, but I did the same with my pixel 6 for years without a problem. I am pretty careful when I unplug things from the slot though.
Its over blown. I’ve used the same for years literally same phone. Never had an issue. I’ve went through many adapters due to flex cable age and different generation pixels over the years and never once had a charging port failure or even finicky charger. Overblown.
