They did more to piss off their fans. Back in the 90s, they went public decrying Napster as theft to Congress. This was when the Internet was just getting warmed up and Napster allowed you to download any mp3 you wanted (local music file stored on your computer). There was some very funny Flash at the time (a form of webpage now defunk) depicting them pretty badly.
