I think the post somewhat implies that the English disappear as well, leaving Northern Ireland for just the Irish.
I reckon that’s what he meant.
Regardless of what they meant, they said “…and Northern Ireland” not Ireland, not the north of Ireland - Northern Ireland.
Without England, Northern Ireland would be free to reunite with the Republic of Ireland, no?
