most e-commerce has all my personal info including KYC and my full product ratings, and recently i realized that i already given my full address, legal name, phone number, bad ratings and some photos, etc on this e-commerce. i tried contact the customer service but they said they cannot remove any of these data and its permanent.

should i worry about this?

Most brands likely don’t deal with many GDPR style requests outside of the EU. So you’ll likely want to get a note to whomever is holding the information such as ecommerce providers (Salesforce, Shopify), Reviews providers, marketing tools etc. and go through them.

You’ll either yourself or through that customer support agent want to get a note to the platform powering the functionality you want to be anonymized from that you’d like your info expunged.

The tech platforms in this case will be much more used to these requests so you should have a better chance at them following through.

The good news is generally this soft deletes your data over many sites rather than just the one you shopped at so you won’t have to repeat often.

    Hope that helps!
