I make the argument that Star Wars is not science fiction, rather a fantasy that takes place in space. Science and technology do not drive the stories, nor are they the solutions to the problems that arise. They are incidental and could just as well be replaced with actual magic. They tried to go the other way by explaining the force with midiclorians… Which was accepted by basically no one.
Bro, you got some weird brain worms. Not considering Star Wars as science fiction based on some technical hubbub is like calling Trump a communist because he the reginality of caucus results in his disposition to yearn for the masses. That ain’t real life. This is science, bitch. Get with the God damn. It is as it are and be so it will do, so it shall.
Don’t fuck me in my ear and tell me I got bussy problems. There’s a slip n slide mini game if you use the dorge correctly. Do it if you do not under want what you have.

And as it is such, so also as such is it unto you.

If this is old enough, that distinction didn’t exist… at least not in popular discourse. Lasers and shit was SciFi, even if it had magic or whatever.
This is why libraries put the sci fi and fantasy sections together, so they can avoid being drawn into these kinds of debates.
