    it was named after the greek deity of the sky. There was a bit of a debate in naming it. Here ya go.

    In a March 1782 treatise, Johann Elert Bode proposed Uranus, the Latinised version of the Greek god of the sky, Ouranos.

      In Hawaiian, its name is Heleʻekela, the Hawaiian rendering of the name ‘Herschel’.

      Although more importantly it never occurred to me that different languages have different names. I guess I expected one name, and direct translations, but this makes sens
