English/American ads are always weird to witness. “Buy x now!” “Ask your doctor about x!” “Order now!” in a very direct commanding way. I find the European ads (that I actually notice) to be much more subtle. The maximum I can think of is “If you order now” formulations.
I wonder if there are laws pertaining to this or if it’s a language barrier thing, e. g. because the polite form is too awkward in German.

i think it’s mostly a cultural thing, european ads can be plenty exhausting in other specific ways.
(my pet peeve is intentionally poor acting)
