Disney+ has updated its subscriber agreement to allow advertising before and after movies and shows across every subscription tier. The change quietly ends completely ad-free streaming on the platform, even for those paying top dollar.
That includes the Premium plan, which costs $18.99 a month and was originally sold on the promise of an uninterrupted viewing experience.
Subscribers now face an on-screen prompt when logging in, requiring them to actively accept the updated terms before they can keep watching.
yeah…most VPNs operate out of BVI so it has zero jurisdiction. I don’t see them pushing BVI to acquiesce because all the “secret” wealth pipelines go through BVI for the exact reason why VPNs operate from there.
because of this all the coverage for this feels like an astroturf for something more important, like how poorly the war in Iran is going, or the diaper bitch, or Epstein, or take your pick.
it’s just noise, they have no way to enforce this without also hurting their bottom line.
