the focus these days in very much on gender identity and that’s not where bisexual identity stemmed from, it was about being attracted to both sexual body characteristics, and that’s outside gender, and people who have multiple sexual characteristics aren’t excluded from bisexuality in terms of being bisexual or being attractive to bisexual people, people now here bisexual and think it’s related to binary gender constructs. it’s not. it was never about that. and a lot of older bisexual people have also been against binary gender constructs and certainly conformity and insistence on conformity to binary gender constructs for a long long time.
