I think it’s an orchid.
Absolutely blows my mind that nature can do this. How does this flower know the shape and look of a bee?
The closer it gets to looking like bee, the more it survive, slowly, only bee looking flowers come to be 🐝
Evolution isn’t changing into things that work. It’s passing on genes that happen to work by chance.
Still a bit mind blowing though, wouldn’t you agree?
orchids evolved that way to be pollinator specific, thats why they are very species rich at 30k+ species in a single family, under asparagales order.
Censor this please. I am a bee and this is pornographic.
What a happy little bee.
This seat is taken!
hmmmmm i see a clitoris
You finally found it!!
i’m afab…
You do realise how that makes it even worse, right?
let me clarify… i’m afab so obviously i know where it is
Looks like a schooner to me
Ha ha ha ha. You dumb bastard. It’s not a schooner. It’s a sailboat.
bee-autiful
Ophrys apifera looks even more like a bee. Also called a bee orchid.
This kind of posts should helpfully specify the species, not just “this flower”, otherwise many of us will assume it’s AI generated.
Ideally a Wikipedia link would satisfy any skepticism, but just the name is good enough for googling.
I’m not sure how I’m supposed to identify the species and all that stuff you want. I saw a flower and took a picture then did a 2x optical zoom with my Samsung. The first pic is below. And shouldn’t the standard be the other way around in that AI should be labeled, and not assumed?

I think you meant digital zoom. Optical zooming is done before the picture is taken.
S23 has 3x Optical zoom lens. Yes it was done before I took the pic.
AI is, unfortunately, becoming better each month, and most people using it have an interest on passing it as human.
Tagging is good, but humans can’t be passive. Googling “bee orchid”, or using Plant.net, could be enough to find the species, or a close relative.
But this is just my opinion, I don’t make the rules here, but I think it’s worth to make a small effort to fight disinformation in any form.
