If all transport was bikes, trains and trams - you most likely still can get everywhere by foot.
If all transport was cars - not neccessarily; is what I think is the main thing that separates it from straight up deception
I think you missed the part where they are lying to the conservatives to get them on board with things that are actively good for them
Reframing a topic in verbiage that’s amenable to your audience isn’t lying, it’s just not being a moron who knows how to talk to people.
I wouldn’t call it lying. The traditional means of transportation is walking, people have been doing it for thousands of years.

Is every tradition from before agriculture? “Traditional” doesn’t mean “from the time before homo sapiens.”
