They are the only cops in the western world i know of who are known for this specific behavior with nearly daily occurrence. I can’t rule out that there are other countries where this happens, but i am sure that the US cops lead that statistic by a mile.
I’ll grant you that. Our cops in Hull, Quebec had a habit of that, to the point where people would go up to them and ask with a sad tone if they had seen a dog around.

US cops are notorious for killing the dogs of civilians “to protect themselves” on the regular - in reality they just love shooting living things.

Yeah. US cops shoot dog at an alarming rate and their excuse for it would be laughable if they weren’t fucking sad.
