      Hotels love installing these things. They’re cheaper than two large shower doors, they make the room look bigger, and guests think it looks modern.

      That said, you’re kind of supposed to pair this with a rain shower head in the ceiling to reduce splash. This looks like a remodeled hotel that didn’t want to move the plumbing. They just did a cheap refresh to make people feel like they were staying in a modern room.

        I stayed at a hotel in Vegas (of course) that had no doors on theirs. Just an open, locker-room-style shower. And the floor was barely level enough to not flood the bathroom if the shower head was pointed directly at the corner. It was not pointing the right way when I turned it on.
