    If they’re eating halal for reasons they dont seek to change (religious or otherwise) it can be extremely difficult to “cook at home” because you need to secure halal food sources, which if there aren’t even any restaurants with halal food, it may be extremely difficult to secure halal ingredients

      Fish, seafood, fruits, vegetables, grains, nuts, legumes like rice, wheat, beans, and lentils … all default halal, no?

        I have no idea. Wikipedia says

        Made, produced, manufactured, processed, and stored using machinery, equipment, and/or utensils that have been cleaned according to Islamic law (shariah).

        i don’t know enough about Islamic law to say whether or not are default halal. They could be. I dunno!
