      Do things you have no concept of matter to you typically? How can something matter to you if you have never spared a single thought for it before?

        I feel like this is the wrong approach. I don’t care about specific strength of steel or building codes. But I’d care if a building fell upon me. I don’t care about the effluent pump station down the road, but I’d probably care if shit started flowing out onto the street .

        You can not care about upstream events or technologies. Mostly because you’re happy with the outcome, you never have to care or spare a thought. Most of life is like that.
