    There’s so, so, so many obvious ways that the constitution allows for the rise of authoritarianism. It’s almost like the US constitution was designed to protect the property rights of slavers and not establish a durable democracy. The United States wasn’t even REMOTELY close to being a democracy at its founding, less than 7% of the population was even legally allowed to vote.
