In my lifetime it’s been the Popes who have been the most honourable religious leaders. I like the current Pope a great deal.
it’s funny, 1700 years ago the Catholic church teamed up with the government and burned all religious texts not their own. 400 years ago they were still executing people that simply disagreed with them. from 200 years until only 30 years ago they teamed up with the north American governments to steal indigenous children and beat/rape/murder them into forgetting their culture. 20 years ago they had a massive pedophile cover-up. this is not even close to a complete list of their atrocities.
and still people think they’re an honorable institution. give your head a shake.
this current pope may say all the right things, but he’s still hiding centuries of evil and millennia of ancient texts they don’t want people to know about
