I’ll be having a drink at the Rainbow in his honour a few weeks from now.
In a pair of daisy dukes with a cowboy hat on?
Unlikely , only so much room in the luggage sadly.
So…Daisy Dukes, yes. Hat, no.

Still… the guy had an entire room in his place dedicated to Nazi memorabilia 😬.
so? Doesn’t mean he was a nazi.

Agree. Upvoted for accurate and reasonable criticism of my statement. It doesn’t mean he was a nazi, and it has nothing to do with the fact that he was an amazing musician and performer, and from all accounts I have read, was active in engaging minorities in rock music. It’s just unusual for people who aren’t anthropologists or historians working with a preservation society to have a personal collection of artifacts from such a vile group. I worry that people who don’t know all the good Lemmy did will conclude that he was celebrating the nazis, and unfortunately there is not a lot of objective data left to confirm that he wasn’t glorifying them, and I think that sucks.

This is why I’m highly suspicious of anyone who is too interested in the American Civil War.
And historians in general. /s
