There are issues with LGBTQ people in CHina, but they’re not really worse than Japan for example. Not good, because there is no official support or recognition (except at the local level), but no one really cares, especially not the government (except trans people – they do get treatment & support)
im in a giant chinese chat server filled with trans people, and none of them are homeless. they are shocked when i tell them about how many homeless trans people are in my other american chat server.
Unless you’re lgbtq+ or cerain ethnic minorities, or elderly without children, or an only child with all your parents and grandparents still living.
Honestly they’ve made a lot of progress economically, but if your aren’t socially average, or rich the system is not great.
