If i answer with “try linux” i do it for helping you, also, you can ignore my reply too and go on, sometimes i even get insults or mockery for answering questions about Linux, i don’t get wht people need to be rude about this.
People are lazy. They don’t want to put in any effort at all. They just go “well I have nothing to hide any way” or they get mad at the person calling out their laziness. Happens all the time. People get mad at vegans, Greta Thunberg, Cyclists, Linux Users, etc.

If you only count “installing Linux” as trying something, then maybe don’t comment anything on the thread because it isn’t for you.
It’s often literally the only solution to the thing the person is complaining about
