this is an old NOAA/SAME weather radio, and the power jack broke. just decided to fix it one morning and this is what occurred x3

The good ol’ “proof of concept” that goes to production
Working in IT, I’ll describe it as a “just a little temporary workaround, that I’m sure will be replace soon by a proper solution” (soon=never)
BTW, if you have a soldering iron, or a hackerspace/repair cafe/workshop close by and you want to get your hands dirty, you can put there a shorter cable, a dot of solder and it’ll be much more permanent. It should be relatively easy too!
oh we have soldering stuff and we know how! just too lazy to go downstairs, even though we ended up putting the radio in our garage anyways lol
but hacker/makerspaces are awesome!!! definitely +1 to that :)
