The error is:
SyntaxError: Unexpected token 'R', "Request er"... is not valid JSON
A smaller image, or different format, doesn’t make a difference. Not sure what to do. I tried with a 1536x2816 png, 3.93 mb; jpg version, 676 kb; and a 384x704 png version, 477 kb.

Should be fixed now.
Seems like embeds on desktop are so small that they are useless and on mobile version of the post there’s no embed at all 🙃

If at some point in the future lemmy allows uploading videos on the platform, will you guys enable it?
Maybe but our storage is limited at the moment. We don’t have enough to hold potentially hundreds of gigabytes of videos alone.
