      It’s honestly not unlikely. The guilt tripping seems off, there’s not a squeak about this on uk’s open university ‘Group for Palestine’ facebook group (couldn’t quite check their Instagram) despite a reputable chair member of that group organizing it, the spam in general on lemmy of all places (especially through a very emotionally vulnerable instance when it comes to palestine)…

      Nothing quite on the level of “definite proof that this is a scam!!” but it certainly smells
