People didn’t find your joke to be funny or helpful, and your responses have been rather antagonistic.
I’ve offered thoughtful explanations of why I don’t find your post humorous, but harmful instead. I appreciate the evidence you’ve provided in response, but the labeling isn’t helpful.
Poke some fun at the oligarchs, and I’ll send more LOLs your way.
And I explained why your explanation is ahistorical and does not match observed reality. There is a discussion to be had regarding messaging, but the reality of the situation is that the sate has a monopoly on legalized violence in form of police and military forces, and it is not shy about using violence against the public. This is true for every western country where mass protests are suppressed brutally and violently. The only realistic option for the working majority is to build power structures that are able to meet the violence of the state standing up.
It seems the post is comparing violent resistance to nonviolent resistance (via voting). If resistance implies organization, then both plans imply organization, and then the point of this post is just to get people on board with the violence, dismissing nonviolent means of progress as being ineffective by saying those who want that path don’t even accomplish it.
Let’s please spend more time/posts on class solidarity and less time belittling those who don’t have the same exact ideology.
The problem is that “nonviolent resistance” doesn’t work, and revolution is necessary. It isn’t about ideological purity, it’s about what is possible and what is not.
We do both. It’s just a generally human thing to joke around with your community, but again, this just returns to my question of whether or not you’ve engaged with people advocating revolutionary means.
Your post puts the cart before the horse and sows division.
ok ,so trolling then, thanks for clarifying
Derision doesn’t help our cause.
then don’t sealion into threads to do it
Yeah, that’s not trolling nor sealioning.

Okay, I think I understand you, and we agree on the important stuff.
👍
The OOP has Cuban, Korean, and Palestinian flags, and mentions violent resistance. This implies organization.

Then convince people of that with reasoned arguments. Not by making fun of people.
Much more likely to build community that way. And without community, the violent resistance will not lead to long lasting success.

It is human to joke. Not everyone finds every joke to be funny.
Sure? Never said everyone needed to find every joke funny. Have you engaged with people advocating revolutionary means?
