I would like to but I watch YouTube using the FreeTube client which supports skipping segments from SponsorBlock but doesn’t include a UI to submit segments. I could open up the video in a browser and submit via the extension, but that is inconvenient and interrupts the flow of the video.

Because yeah, their comment is completely reasonable. On my computer I’ll always submit the segments myself. But the UX of doing it on a phone is just prohibitive.

Can confirm, I’ve tried with revanced and it was essentially unusable
then you spend 10 minutes trimming in the segment exactly so that it’s barely noticeable, and submit it just in time to see that some dipshit has pushed a segment that slices a sentence in half and ends with a flashbang
I take so much care in trimming it frame perfect
And then some VIP butthead overwrites all submissions with an inferior submission

<andkeys while paused move by individual frames.scrolling while hovering over the sponsorblock time code does it by hundredths of a second, which is what you need the get the audio to line up.
