I ordered a little PC directly, kinda just to see what happens.
Fellow shitbox driver here.
I’m gonna fix my shitbox until I can’t to keep it on the road
And given my knowledge and skills, that’s gonna take quite the feat to get me to stop fixing it
New cars are awful and stupidly expensive, 20+ year old econoboxes are the way to go
Preach. Ive got an old avalon with the 3.5. Highly recommend. Doesn’t track or nag me, smooth as butter, power for days.
Ain’t got no smart features, ain’t got no “info-tainment” screen, it’s got physical controls for everything, no “fly-by-wire”, I don’t get ads in my car, it goes where I want it to, when I want it to, and big brother doesn’t get to know about it.
It’s got 200k miles and BY MY HAND, it’s gonna get 200k miles more!

Rock Auto really is the best for new parts IMO
Three brake pads?
Usually they are sold in sets of four…two pads per front and back. Front and rear, should be two sets. And you’ve got 4 rotors which is right…but why 3 brake pads? That should be enough for 3 axles.
Three sets of pads there’s four vehicles on the order. One just needs a pad slap. The other needed rotors and pads all around.
Maybe for a different vehicle?
It looks like all three are for the same vehicle and there are orders for three different vehicles, but this looks to be the only one op is doing brakes for.
Strait of Hormuz
What I ordered was only a couple states away, and then seems to have stopped 20miles from my apartment.
I think they lost it.
My sympathies. I’m in the same boat. My part made it from the UK to Sydney, cleared customs and then tracking updates stopped a bit over a week ago. Good thing we have a second car.
Gas prices are up, shipping is going to suck.
