Yes, and I expanded on why they did them the way they did them while reinforcing the point that ads for content on the same channel are still ads.
We are in agreement saying the same things in different levels of detail.
Also known as snooggums on midwest.social and kbin.social.

And two women rapping could be Salt N Peppa!
Actually infuriating.
Anything where the clear statement with such a marker indicating it is not true should be illegal. ‘Up to’ claims should also be illegal unless they are true for 99%+ of users/customers.
HBO had ads for the other content on HBO (movie trailers, show ads) which also served as filler so the next show or movie could start on the hour or half hour. Definitely a different kind of ad, and it didn’t interrupt what you were watching.
Still ads, but the least intrusive kind.
Those were initially limited to shows that had contracts in place before hulu existed and was limited to like 3 shows.
“Dressing us up and trying to make us act like someone other than ourselvds won’t keep us from embarassing you. I’m disappointed you never learned that.”
The s shape that I’m familiar with is generally referring to squared walls that have a S shaped path where the walls don’t allow for a direct line of sight like this. But yes, curved walls would also be easier than framing and hanging doors.
The S shape takes more space than a single door, but it is way cheaper to build than a door.
I loved the things they put to open doors with your feet during covid, just little metal nubs.
In the rare case I could catch one with the tread on my shoes, the door closing mechanism was too powerful to actually pull the stupid door open. If I have to lean into pulling it open with my hand, some friction surface for my toes isn’t going to work.
This is not limited to Texas. It isn’t uncommon in US red states to legally beat your children as long as it doesn’t reach a certain level of injury (or it does and the abuser pretends to apologize).
We still have atates that allow school staff to hit children.
See the thing is, children are property and hitting children is totally fine because the law hasn’t recognuzed them as people yet. Wives are barely considered people and hitting them only became illegal a few decades ago.
\s for me, literally accurate for a huge portion of US culture.
Reposting someone else’s gif becsuse it is so perfect.
I’m totally buying for the whole office!
works from home
Plus they jack up the default menu prices so the only way to get a comparative price to what existed before the ‘discounts’ is to use the app and be engaged.
“No added sugars”
“No added salt”
“No added preservatives”
Yup, no cyanide would fit right in.
Or the government uses web indexes to find sites that include LGBTQ+ content and blocks them automatically.
HSAs are also a way to get healthy people away from wanting universal health care by catering to their self interest, just like how IRAs were intended to let people with money invest in retirement which eroded support for social security.
I’ll take that over the windows ‘support’ forums where the people with superuser titles don’t understand basic questions and the answer tends to be to see if it gets fixed in a future version of windows.
And those posts are a decade old because they were never fixed.
It is an algorithm that was designed in a way that promotes that kind of shit because on average it keeps people watching videos (and therefore ads). They use the data from signed in people to determine wha to shove in the face of a new user.
