0·5 days agoLast time a fake id worked, just searched for an id sample online and gimped it to match the name and the date on the google acc.
Didn’t even have to change the default photo.
This was some years ago, idk if it still works tho.
I’m sure Linux has something for that too, but I don’t know what it is

“Hey Linux, can you just delete this file please?”
“Sure thing bud, a program is using it, it’s ok, I will just unlink the inode anyway, the program can still access it until it closes the file”
As of things stand right now, android is realistically still the only game in town.
If you get an android with a custom ROM you will still be able to install apps, even if f-droid decides that it isn’t worth maintaining the project for a much smaller userbase, someone will fork f-droid or you can still use Obtanium to obtain apps.
Nevermind the donation pop-up, how can people use gnome? It’s unusable, it interface is literally the worse UI I’ve ever had the displeasure of using only second to macOS.
I believe that gnome is actually what is keeping many people away from gnu/linux, since it’s default on many distros, people install “linux” and they get gnome and gnome sucks so they hate on linux instead of hating gnome.

Google controls all smartphones, Amazon controls most products that I can’t find locally, Microsoft controls all computers, even if I don’t use windows generally I still have to pay the Microsoft tax.
Every other product I can buy like pants also come from companies that pollute, usually in China.
The problem isn’t exclusively those companies in the pic, it’s every single one of them, those are just bigger.
The problem is fundamentally capitalism and changing from a buying from one big company to a small one only makes so the small company now has funds to pollute more instead.
