Not on a Kindle Fire 😕
I’m on graphene and see it. Your device may not support HDR.
Hmm looks like that’s a filter option, not an actual backlight control. Probably would work well if I was OLED, but alas I’m not.
I made WinTile for gnome. Gave me back quarter tiling.

0·15 days agoYea, I’ve recently learned LineageOS has an AndroidTV version that runs on a lot of devices, including the Pi. Been considering investigating that.

0·17 days agoVery true. I do have a let’s encrypt wildcard cert that I also use with internal IPs for instances like this. But most of my items don’t require that.

0·18 days agoIt is surprisingly easy to add a custom CA to phones and laptops. When I migrated to services using one with names like
thisservice.lanI thought it would be a lot harder. I just have a generation script that makes a new cert and I throw it in NGINX.

0·22 days agoThis is on my eval list, though I’m thinking Runbox is above it due to the unlimited aliases/etc. I also like their sub-account pricing structure.

2·24 days agoI asked whether the model had been trained on, or had access to, our sessions in Codex, into which we had been putting all our drafts for the whole of this project. I was told the model did not look up user data. I asked again, about training, and I did not get an answer."
I mean, you kept something secret in Codex. A product purpose built to gather training data. What did you think would happen?
This was one of the few interesting use cases for smart glasses. Ad blackouts, or replacement with cat memes.
