The longer i spend on lemmy the more curious i become about running linux.

I expected some sort of: “we have x and y to protect us behind when you sue us” but this seems like they either got nothing or don’t want to show their hand.
But expecting this might be due to the title.
I tried totk on yuzu and after 3 days of struggling and playing a little bit, i went out to the nearest store and bought the zelda edition switch with totk.
Without yuzu i would not have made this purchase, but i understand that’s not how everyone operates plus if yuzu ran better i would’ve just kept playing there.
I’m also aware of the amount of plastic waste that passes through my hands.
The difference here being: i notice what is necessary and how much of it is useless extra added on by the manufacturer for advertisement purposes.
The latter is usually 50% and even as bad as 80% in a lot of cases.
I’m not ashamed, i’m dissapointed they are allowed to keep doing this while i’m forced to make all kind of changes (i use forced because they artificially increase the price to stop us from doing things)
Ehh the newest one, totk if i’m not mistaken.
Yuzu struggled running zelda on my pc, zo i bought a switch to play zelda again.
I’d think a ryzen 7, 64gb ram and 3070 shouldn’t have a problem with a switch game but i might be wrong because i don’t know the specs of the switch.
Time to sell my switch, i only have it because of yuzu.
What would be a good source of info on this, for someone who only knows windows but isn’t afraid to learn a lot of new stuff if that means doing it right.
I feel like i should move away from windows with their shenanigans. I use my pc for gaming and messing around with my 3d printer(and everything that comes with that), photography, design work.
